On January 24 to 26, 2017, RESTEC supported “JICA – CEOS Radar Remote Sensing Training Workshop” held in Pretoria, South Africa. The workshop was co-organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Committee on Earth Observation Satellites (CEOS), and the South African National Space Agency (SANSA).
10 participants from 9 countries (Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe) as well as 9 participants from South Africa joined the workshop. The participants were divided into 2 groups based on their experience on the Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), and joined a basic course and an advanced course respectively.
